Poker Flat welcomes Martin Buttrich. The Hannover (Germany) based producer is the ingenious mastermind behind the Time Tools studio and co-producer for high profile artists like Timo Maas or Loco Dice. Although he´s been working as a producer for more than ten years, he only recently started to release under his real name and dropped 12´´es on Four. Twenty (2004) and on Carl Craig´s Planet-E (´´Full Clip´´, 2006) and delivered a remix for O´Brien-Docker (´´Totally Alright´´), before he joined Poker Flat for an exclusive Track (´´Snapshots´´) on the upcoming Poker Flat Volume 5 album. Now we are proud to present ´´Cloudy Bay´´ his debut EP for Poker Flat. Once more the new 3-tracker proves his enormous skills. ´´Cloudy Bay´´ is a catchy and simply beautiful track with exciting strings and a wicked break which bring up the right dose of ecstasy on the floor. Massive tune! The B-side holds two more high-spirited tracks with ´´What´s Your Name´´ being a bit more relaxed and deep, while ´´Lazy Bastard´´ edges upwards again to a good pace with a great arrangement and a 100 percent positive vibe. jo ich weiss dieser Blog ist schon länger nicht mehr aktualisiert worden, aber dafür gibt es zwei Gründe.

Zum einen verfalle ich langsam in eine Art Freizeitstress (es gibt auch noch diverse andere Projekte), zum anderen ist meine Leben einfach nicht so spannend.

Aber egal, aus aktuellem Anlass folgende, nicht wirklich lustige Geschichte.

Mein Bruder liegt im Moment wegen einer Darmkrebs-Behandlung in der Uni-Klinik Köln, was ja so schon nicht besonders lustig ist.

Nach diversen anderen Zwischenfällen trug es sich nun am Samstag zu, dass er aufgrund akuter (wohl auch ziemlich heftiger) Blutungen ein bluthemmendes Mittel brauchte.

Dummerweise hatte die Station (?) dieses Mittel nicht und es musste ein Rezept ausgestellt werden um selbiges zu beschaffen. Jetzt fängt der Spass an.

Der behandelnde Arzt hatte frei, darf er ja ruhig. Der nächste Kollege streikte, kann er ja auch - muss er aber unbedingt?

Jetzt fangen meine Eltern, von zu Hause aus, an rumzutelefonieren um einen Arzt zu finden der das benötigte Rezept ausstellt (haben sie dann auch) und dann das Medikament nach Köln zu bringen, Luftlinie Köln - meine Eltern ungefähr 100 km.

Ich möchte jetzt hier keinem zu Nahe treten, entschuldige mich schon hier für eventuell falsch benutzte medizinische Termini und Zusammenhänge und habe das ganze auch nicht live miterlebt sondern nur von meinen Eltern erzählt bekommen.

Trotzdem muss ich sagen, dass ich einige Dinge in unserer Gesellschaft mehr als fragwürdig finde, oder vielleicht bin ich einfach nur zu blöd um alles zu verstehen.

Und wenn ich dann vom Marburger Bund höre die Versorgung der Kranken wäre trotz Streik gesichert, kann ich nur müde lächeln.

Ich komme an einem Stand mit Hühnereiern (und nur mit Hühnereiern, nix anderes, drei Meter Tisch mit ein paar 100 Eieren drauf) vorbei und höre die Eierfachverkäuferin gerade zu ihrer Kundin sagen: “Nein, sowas haben wir nicht!”.

Jetzt frag ich mich schon die ganze Zeit:

Wonach hat sich die gute Frau erkundigt?

Was könnte man denn von jemandem noch haben wollen,der offensichtlich nur Eier sein eigen nennt?

Kartoffeln? Obst? Atomsprengköpfe?

Ich versteh´s einfach nicht.
